The history of Golden North Van Lines, Inc. is more than an example of corporate business success. It is the story of management, office staff, van operators and movers, operations managers and sales representatives whose continuing dedication has made Golden North the most progressive and successful moving company in Alaska.
The Halverson family opened and Incorporated Golden North in 1976 with an office in both Anchorage and Fairbanks. In 1981 Steve Halverson became Owner and President. In 1984, Golden North became the carrier representative for United Van Lines, Inc. in Alaska.
 Today, Golden North Van Lines continues its growth and dedication to becoming the leading moving and relocation service company in Alaska. We have recently completed the construction of a second and larger climate controlled warehouse facility and office space in Fairbanks. We also expanded our office space at our Anchorage facility to meet the needs of our business development technology and staff expansion.
